FAQ

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of Ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.

Where and how can I apply to be a speaker?

Please fill out this google form. On this form, we ask you to submit the following:

Once you submit the topic of your interest, our selection committee will review it and confirm your spot. Please note that your submission does not guarantee a spot until the selection committee has approved it.

How long can the TEDx talk be?

We would prefer the talk to be under 15 mins. Prior to the event, we will run a dress rehearsal to lock down the presentation deck and the timings.

For the audience, will there be paid tickets?

Yes, we will sell tickets for this event. The goal is to donate net collections (revenue - cost) to a local organization that our club will choose.
